Shasta's pristine mountain lakes and rivers, majestic forests, and miles of back country provide plenty of timber of all kinds for making lump charcoal. These forests are are composed of Firs, Pines, Cedars, Western Black Oak, Big Leaf Maple, Alder, and numerous other species. The trees that we use for making custom lump charcoal comprise of Western Black Oak, Big Leaf Maple, and Apple Wood from local orchards around Northeastern California.
